The appointment will start with a conversation about the reason for your visit. We will then do a deep dive into your gynaecological, fertility and general medical histories as we look at the various areas of your lifestyle. I will then look at your tongue, take your pulse. I will then begin the treatment.

What should I expect in my appointment?

Yes! Evidence Based Acupuncture have fully referenced literature reviews of the most up to date evidence for acupuncture in a variety of clinical areas. Read more here.

Does Acupuncture really work?

No. The sensation of the needle has been likened to a tingling or dull ache, which indicates the body’s energy (Qi) has been stimulated. There is no need to fear the needles, they are about the thickness of a hair. Most people find acupuncture very relaxing - I’ve even had patients fall asleep during treatment!

Does Acupuncture hurt?

This will vary from person to person.. We are working to find the root causes specific to you and design a solution unique to you. Generally, I like to see people weekly initially, usually for a minimum of 4 - 6 visits. This will move to fortnightly and monthly as and when improvement allows.

How many sessions will I need?

Increasingly private health insurance is covering the cost of acupuncture treatment.
As a BAcC registered Acupuncturist I am recognised by AXA insurance and others so it is best to check with your provider.

Can I claim for Acupuncture
on my insurance?

Absolutely. Like any health professional, I keep everything you share with me strictly confidential.

Are our sessions confidential?

Please give 24 hours notice of cancellation otherwise the full fee will be payable.
Packages are valid for 3 months and are non-refundable.
